#SaturdayStories: Claudia
Throughout October we'll be sharing stories of people whose lives changed when they met Jesus. Claudia is a prisoner in a women’s prison in Columbia. She was introduced to Jesus through the international prison version of Christianity Explored, The Prisoner's Journey®.
In my hometown community of San José de Uré, Colombia, I was known as a hardworking woman, striving to provide for my children. But when I was hired as a housekeeper for a farm managed by a member of a criminal gang, the Colombian law enforcement authorities saw me as a member of this illegal armed group. I was arrested and sent to prison. I have served a year.
I live to support my family and being in prison is excruciatingly difficult, but I found hope and a purpose to my time in prison.
I met Jesus through The Prisoner’s Journey® [an in-prison evangelism and discipleship programme adapted from Christianity Explored].
Despite the distress you live [while] in prison, Jesus has made my time here make sense; I have met my Lord in prison.
May God bless all those people who have Jesus in their hearts through The Prisoner’s Journey® throughout the world.
We're humbled that our partnership with Prison Fellowship International to create The Prisoner’s Journey® played a part in Claudia's story.
Will you set up a regular gift today to reach people like Claudia? A regular gift to CEM will enable us to equip the global church to reach out to people like Claudia with the gospel.
